Sophomore Acknowledgement Squat
There’s a social comment here, buried beneath the layers of cultural psychosis - that’s how you know it’s art. Though I wonder what the comment is. Or why anyone would think that ODB would stay locked up if Palestine went free. Why not both? I wonder what was smeared out. Was it important? To anyone?
I talked to the girl who took the photo. She gave me a song and dance about how the photo meant this or that, but I pressed her hard enough that she admitted she was just being pretentious. She scribbled down ODB and smeared out those four words and no, she didn’t remember what they were and oh, look at the time, she really had to go. I wonder if she was telling the truth.
